Course Overview

This is a user level pistol armorers course. We use GLOCK pistols during the course, which is useful regardless if you own a GLOCK or not.

We brought this course to Crucible to give our students a detailed level of knowledge about weapons, and potentially their weapon. What we have found is that very often we have students who own guns, but are not familiar with them at this detailed level. We have also found that we have students who have ZERO knowledge about guns and want to know more before they go forward.

This course is designed to teach you how to field strip and then detailed strip a GLOCK pistol. In most cases a “field strip” is all that is ever learned. We go into far more detail than that, including:

• Repeated field stripping sessions

• Detailed stripping the upper

• Detailed stripping the lower, including trigger assembly

• Offering options for changing out components

• Understanding general maintenance and proper lubrication of the weapon

If you do not own a GLOCK, you will likely find you have much more confidence to learn how to completely disassemble your own weapon.

NOTE - we do use real firearms in this course. We use GLOCK’s and recommend students bring their own. We do have a limited number of loaner weapons available. The instructor (Mike Coffin) is a certified Glock Armorer.
