This is what we call “the basic” because it sets the foundation for many of the other pistol disarming techniques later in the system.

One of the great things about Krav Maga is that it has been designed from the ground up as an integrated system. That means that things we learn from the most basic punching and blocking will help us as move into more advanced lessons, like pistol disarming.

While this is a “basic” pistol disarming course, this is really the foundation of all other techniques that come after it. If you don’t successfully learn the basic technique, the others will not make sense and be more difficult to perform.

For a “basic” course, we teach an immense amount of material, much of which is difficult to teach in a live course. Small details like hand positions, grip angles, weight distribution, stepping patterns, and disarming details are often too much to teach in a single class.

However, in an online course we have the time and ability to delve deep into the details.
